Casting Out Demons
Acts Chapter 16 verse 18
“She kept this up for
many days. Finally Paul became so
troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST
I COMMAND YOU TO COME OUT OF HER! At
that moment the spirit left her.”
There is so
much controversy in today’s church doctrines and denominations about healing
the sick, laying on of hands, speaking in tongues, raising the dead, and
casting out demons. The difference of
opinions on the subject of spiritual gifts is by far the biggest stumbling
block of Christian unity. I have seen so
many Christians who can’t even come together for fellowship or worship because
the divisions are so strong. It’s as
thou they fear that the others doctrinal beliefs might curse them or worse yet,
might rub off on them. This is the
reason I have chosen to be a nondenominational Christian and keep our ministry
nondenominational. God has called us to
bring all Christians together in unity for one common purpose, to fulfill the
great commission of going out and making disciples of all people. For us to claim a particular denomination
would greatly hinder the calling God has given us in today’s Christian
society. I will say this; I believe
every word of the Bible to be true, I claim every miracle written in the Bible,
I believe that anything is possible through Jesus Christ, and that Jesus is the
same yesterday, today, and forever.
A few weeks
ago I went to one of the half way houses in
I do not
believe that I have the gift of casting out demons; as a matter of fact I don’t
believe I had anything to do with the miracle other then showing her Gods
word. I believe it was her faith that
made her whole. Don’t let denominational
doctrine or lack of faith hinder the miracles God wants to pour out.
